How many horses can you have?

The main stable tops out at 20 stalls, stepping through 4, 8, 14, and 20. Yearlings use another paddock of 6 or 13 and do not take a main stall. Boarders do take main stalls.

Published upgrade costs are 2,500 for stage 2 with a daily cost of 30, 10,000 for stage 3 with a daily cost of 80, and 50,000 for stage 4 with a daily cost of 200. A stage 2 screenshot shows 8 of 8 spaces and a 10,000 quote for the next step, which matches the stage 3 price in the building table.

I am not adding 20 and 13 into a single “33 horses” headline. The paddock is a different building, and no source told me the two caps can be full at the same time without another limit. If a quest adds hidden space, it was not written down in the tables I used.

Foals and yearlings are described on the separate paddock, not in the main 20. Read the buildings table for the paddock’s own cap.
